Create password-protected documents on Overleaf

With protected projects (available as part of Overleaf Pro), you have greater control when sharing your documents with collaborators and reviewers.

The owner can simply add collaborators by email address, and the collaborator will be sent a link to the document to enable access for viewing and editing. Only users authorised by the owner will have access, and the owner can add and remove collaborators (to revoke their access) at any time.

To create a new protected document, choose the 'protected' option in the 'New Project' button on your My Projects dashboard once you've upgraded to Overleaf Pro. Any password-protected documents you create will be marked with the padlock symbol to distinguish them from regular Overleaf documents.
